INNOVATIVE OPERATIONS AWARDS

Nominate your colleagues for PRESSTIME's 2008 Innovative Operations Awards.
Previously called the Best Practices Awards, the honor has been given for
the past 12 years for a new idea, method or device that improves newspaper
quality, efficiency and/or timeliness.

Winning ideas have included such homegrown solutions as a comprehensive
production database, a tutorial kit for advertisers, an adapted labeler tip
that makes placing oversized labels on newspapers easier, and an open-source
interactive light board to keep track of employees’ comings and goings. To
see last year’s winners, click here.

The deadline for entries is Oct. 26. All winners receive a commemorative
award and coverage in PRESSTIME magazine.
