These are traits of people who make business work.
These describe a program that works for business.
Imagine …
- a talented, career-driven professional matched with a senior industry adviser for robust, one-on-one conversations about achieving success;
- a reality-based series of incredible webinars on leadership, office politics, personal branding, networking, career strategizing and managing up;
- targeted, manageable assignments strictly geared to increase both skills in these areas and organizational visibility in the process;
- small PowerTeams of equally dedicated professionals and senior advisers who discuss the webinar topics, highlighting participants’ challenges, trouble-shooting their problems and prompting their accountability.
- a rare, six-month opportunity for a professional boost because its content is concentrated:
- webinars occur for one hour each month
- PowerTeams meet via teleconference for one hour each month
- conversations with individual advisers occur for at least one hour
each month
- participants work on assignments that can change their futures
- the prestige that emerges from being named one of 15 NAA Foundation fellows;
- the chance to shift personal career outcomes when PowerMind begins on Jan. 2, 2012;
- attending the NAA mediaXchange conference in April 2012 in Washington, D.C.;
- the gift of receiving all these benefits at no cost because the NAA Foundation pays all expenses.
It’s an amazing opportunity. Isn’t this something in which you should be involved?
Do you qualify? PowerMind candidates need to:
- be managers of color at newspaper companies and have at least five years of total professional experience;
